Matt & Janie Mehaffey
Matt and Janie Mehaffey are following God's call to start new churches that introduce people to Jesus. Having graduated from the Church Planting Assessment Center, they have been hired by Florida Church Planters to focus this calling in the Miami, Florida area. Serving as Lead Planter of the Miami Pursuit, Matt will recruit, train and lead staff and others in this pursuit. Matt served in the Student Ministry at Traders Point Christian Church (TPCC) in Indianapolis, IN for nine years. Janie served at TPCC for eight years and looks forward to using her ministry communications experience to support this church planting movement. Matt and Janie met and married while serving together at TPCC and look forward to the next phase of their life together in Florida. TPCC is pleased to partner with the Mehaffeys in this church planting endeavor.

Bob & Linda Smith
Bob and Linda Smith are thrilled to reconnect with good friends and former co-workers Matt and Janie Mehaffey by joining them and Alex and Erin Diaz in the planting of The Pursuit Christian Church in Miami, Florida. Bob is saying goodbye to a 32 years long, successful and rewarding ministry in evangelism, outreach and missions at Traders Point Christian Church (TPCC) in Indianapolis, IN while Linda is pleased to have retired after 32 years teaching music in the public schools.
With the goal of establishing a 2nd campus for The Pursuit Christian Church in 2008, Bob and Linda will locate themselves in a 55-plus gated condominium community with approximately 16,000 residents. Their ministry will be to reach out and help culturally diverse seniors find their way back to God, involving them in a style of ministry, worship and outreach unique to their age.
